Rae Maxwell Ross, RMR, is a project-based artist in Berkeley California. She works in a wide variety of media, including film, installation, printmaking, performance, and social practice. Her work strives to create visual representations of ephemeral feelings. Drawing on her own lived experiences of anxiety and deeply affected by a family history of mental illness her work explores such themes as grief, stigma, and denial. In doing so she hopes to highlight the inherent commonality and humanness of a subject often only talked about in the abstract form of statistics.
RMR is currently working toward her BFA in Art Practice at University of California Berkeley.
